Vintage Photo Booth in East Hampton
Our vintage photo booth made it out to a classic East Hampton Wedding on Long Island this summer. Guests from ten different countries joined in the festivities. At the end of the night, guests filled the photo book with love notes in French, Chinese, German, and Spanish. Not only did these guests have a wonderful time, but they all loved spending time taking photos.
Intimate Gathering at Gansett Green Manor.
Held at the lovely Gansett Green Manor (http://gansettgreenmanor.com/), this intimate Hamptons venue is ideal for a private summer wedding. With two acres of carefully manicured grounds, this quaint bed and breakfast is nestled in the heart of East Hampton.
Customizing our Vintage Photo Booth
For this particular wedding, we customized the outside poster of our classic photo booth to fit the theme of the wedding. One benefit of the minimalist design is our ability to customize our photo booth for various wedding themes. At another event earlier this year, we customized a special curtain for our photo booth. We love being part of wedding events like this – great guests, beautiful grounds, and our vintage photo booth there to capture all the memories!

Our new one-of-a-kind Bellows Style Open Air PhotoBooth!
This Bellows-Style Booth looks like the vintage-style camera with an accordion front. It’ll feel like you and your guests are experiencing an old time photo shoot while in this classic photobooth. Fashioned after the old cameras from a century ago, these hand-made booths are intricately put together to help you and your guests blast back in time as if you were at your great-grandparents’ wedding.
Guests look into the computer tablet below at their poses and smile at the camera lens while the beauty dish flashes to capture their bonding moments together. Just several seconds later, a printed photostrip is offered to them so they will always remember their evening together.
This booth boasts Vermont-handcrafted artisanship of cherry, maple and walnut wood, telescoping bellows, solid brass accents and hand-rubbed Danish Oil finish all in a sleek, compact design. Absolutely gorgeous! It smells nice, too!

VW Photo Bus Rental Hamptons NY
We recently drove our VW Photo Bus Rental to a private party in the Hamptons, NY. One of the best parts of restored our Volkswagen Micro Bus: driving right into the backyard of the event. With the sun setting and guests coming back from the beach, we arrived just on time and set-up in the back corner of a lovely Hamptons home.

Guests could not wait to learn more about the history of Bella, how she drives, and how to take a photo. They loved even more the idea of jumping inside the vintage Volkwagen Bus and posing for photos. Of the many guests, I remember one guest in particular who commented on how he fondly remembered his family’s VW Bus and the many long road trips they used to take. He ended up loving the photo booth idea and posed for ten different photos with his family. We love hearing stories of fellow VW lovers and capturing them posing in our vintage photo booth!

Last weekend, we brought our photo booth rental to Chelsea Piers NYC for a lovely wedding. Overlooking a beautiful view of the Hudson River, The Lighthouse in Chelsea Piers is an ideal venue for a classic New York wedding reception. The Lighthouse is also one of several exclusive venues catered by Abigail Kirsh, one of New York’s premier caterers. Excellent food at premier wedding venues throughout the Tri-State area.
Classic Photo Booth – Enclosed versus Open Air
At this particular event, I spoke with a wedding planner from New York City specializing in high-end events. We discussed the differences between the popular Open Air Photo Booths and my more traditional, enclosed photo booth. While she mainly partners with Open Air Photo Booths, she did mention that she loved the overall experience of enclosed classic photo booth. There is something different about squeezing into the booth, drawing the curtain, and posing for photos. One other important comment she made: the quality of the photo is what really set us apart from other companies. See below.

Whenever we receive an inquiry from a potential client, we recommend requesting a sample photo strip from all photo booth companies being considered. The quality of the photo strip is critical, especially for weddings. While we understand there are many factors to consider in selecting the appropriate photo booth for your wedding, we always recommend getting a sample first. A+ for tuxes. A for handsomeness. A- for mugging at the camera. Overall solid “A” work here from these two gentlemen. I might also point out the lovely, hydrangea blue curtain Polina and Jay chose for the photo booth rental at their wedding in Newport RI. In addition to Burgundy (our most popular curtain color), we also have pink, purple, and damask (not available in all states).

Bringing old friends together for photos is one of our favorite things to see. Guests came in from all parts of the country to celebrate. This lovely Manhattan couple met in college and they maintained close relationships with all their close friends over the years. Their wedding doubled as a college reunion!

What better place to have a college reunion than a weekend wedding reception at an iconic Manhattan hotel! I overheard several guests comment that they loved the old-fashion, classic photo booth. With so many different photo booth options out there, it’s difficult to choose. At this event, guests seemed content with our straightforward offering. We offer a minimalist design and excellent quality photo strips. Two of the basic ingredients to an excellent photo booth. While we recognize the many different offerings out there, for couples looking for an old New York wedding at an iconic Manhattan Hotel, our classic booth was an absolute hit!

This crowd knew how to party. Emphasis here on crowd. Many people assume we can only fit two or three folks into a Photobooth Planet photo booth. Oh no. We have had 8,9, and 10+ cram in there. Makes for a great photo and an authentic moment of “closeness” for the guests. Here, too, you can see the upside and downside of having a lot of props. Funny pic, but you can’t really tell who the people wearing props are. For a birthday party – sure…go nuts with the props. But for a wedding, minimal props is the way to go. Your guests are dressed to the nines already. And on your ten year anniversary when you pull out the photo guestbook we created for you at your wedding reception, you are going to want to see who was there – and what they actually looked like way back then. Anyway, enough about props. This post was intended to illustrate that we can fit a lot more people in our booths than you might at first think.

We set up our enclosed photo booth to celebrate a lovely New York Fall wedding. What better view of New York City than Central Park Boathouse in the fall? Located in the heart of Central Park, the Loeb Boathouse is an ideal scene for any event. We had a great time celebrating with this couple that brought their entire family and close group of friends from the UK! For this black-tie formal event and other similar events in New York City, we found that clients love having a minimalist yet classy photo booth option. The Boathouse perfectly suits the aesthetic design of our booth. In fact, many guests at this particular wedding, asked me if the photo booth is part of the venue. I politely corrected them, but took notice that clients loved hanging out taking photos.

See guests posing in our VW Photo Bus below. At a recent wedding at Martha Clara Vineyards on Long Island, this group didn’t let the weather rain on their celebration! Despite a passing Nor’easter, guests took photos all night in our photo booth. This photo strip captures just how much fun guests had that night. Climbing into our restored Volkswagen Bus with their closest friends to pose for three photos. This group was the first of many at this wedding reception out in Long Island wine country.
