Our Vintage Photo Booth at Fox Hollow in Long Island, NY

Our vintage photo booth made an appearance at a lovely wedding last weekend at the lovely Fox Hollow Venue in Woodbury, New York.  The elegant Long Island wedding venue is spread across a picturesque 8-acre estate, accented with lush gardens, lively waterfalls, and fountains.  It was especially memorable for me, as it turned out, I knew many of the guests attending this event.  I bumped into one of my old childhood friends who was serving as a groomsmen!  We took several photos in our vintage photo booth, and the line for our vintage photo booth was ten guests deep for most of the afternoon!

Here’s a lovely response I received from the groom for our vintage photo booth at Fox Hollow:

Thank you so much for all your work during the wedding…you were seriously the biggest hit!  The photo album turned out great and the pictures on the usb drive are amazing quality! We will be able to have these great memories because of your hard work during our reception. Thank you!

Last weekend, we attended an extravagant affair with our classic photo booth at Cipriani at 42nd Street in the heart of midtown Manhattan.  The Italian Renaissance inspired hall with its towering marble columns, soaring ceilings, and magnificent inlaid floors was converted into a beautiful Indian-themed venue comparable to the Taj Mahal.  Complete with various Bollywood type dance  performances by members of the bridal party, family, and friends, the evening captured the feeling of a grand New York event with a taste of India.  With guests outfitted in traditional sari’s, we had a consistent line of New Yorker’s waiting to take photos in our classic photo booth.  Set-up between various Indian food vendors, our classic photo booth captured guests in one of the most unique and extravagant New York City weddings of the year.

Bella, our VW Bus, visiting the Historic Glenburn Estate in Rivervale, NJ

To kick off the Fall Wedding Season, Bella, our restored vintage VW Bus, paid a visit to a lovely wedding ceremony at the Historic Glenburn Estate in Rivervale, NJ.  Ana and Al did a marvelous job of transforming this historic estate into a Great Gatsby-type wedding affair with an expansive spread of games, food, and dancing.  Having a vintage VW Bus on the premises only added to the many entertaining options for the evening.  Wedding guests loved climbing into the back seat of our restored VW Bus, posing for photos, and putting together a wonderful guest book for Ana and Al.  Congratulations, Ana and Al!

Bridal Party in our Vintage Photo Booth – Central Park Boathouse, NYC

Being part of the bridal party is often a great privilege.  Spending time with the bride and groom throughout the weekend, hanging out at the rehearsal dinner, going through the rehearsal itself, connecting with other members of the bridal party.  At a recent wedding at The Loeb Central Park Boathouse in New York, New York, one of the members of the bridal party was also a former client!  It was wonderful to reconnect with them, since I brought our vintage photo booth to their wedding just the year before.  Here, we have the bride and her bridesmaids hanging out in our vintage photo booth during the wedding reception.  We love these group shots!  People often wonder, “how many people can fit into your vintage photo booth?”  With some creativity and imagination, you can fit up to eight people into our traditional photo booth.  Yes, it’s a bit of a challenge!  But every event we attend, most people comment that they enjoy the classic, traditional photo booth as opposed to an open air, photo lounge setting.  “It’s just more accurate to the classic photo booth,” a recent guest commented.  We agree!

Our Classic Photo Booth at Maritime Parc in Jersey City

At a recent wedding at Liberty State Park Maritime Parc in Jersey City, on a beautiful day overlooking Lower Manhattan, we celebrated the wedding of a lovely couple, Dan and Hara, and their guests.  Our classic photo booth was an ideal fit in this lovely modern, yet very classy venue.  Big “thank you” to Scott Langley (www.scottlangleyphoto.com) for these great photos of guests in our classic photo booth enjoying themselves and signing the photo guest book.  We always enjoy compiling the guest book for the bride and groom, a warm reminder of all their friends and family celebrating on their special wedding day.  We also enjoy watching some well-dressed guests putting on a few silly props to take a few fun photos in our classic photo booth.  I remember at this particular wedding, several out-of-town guests making a collage of photo booth pictures for the guest book.  This group circled back to our classic photo booth multiple times throughout the event, coming up with new creative ideas for each photo booth session!  Glad they had so much fun!

This past weekend, we brought our classic photo booth to the beautiful Loeb Boathouse in Central Park for a black-tie wedding (a bit hot for a tuxedo, but the guys made it work!).  Overlooking a beautiful view of midtown Manhattan and designed to beautifully coexist with its natural surroundings, The Loeb Boathouse is the only Manhattan venue right on a lake! (Read more at http://www.thecentralparkboathouse.com).  At this particular event, I bumped into former client’s who referred our classic photo booth services to their friends.  It was wonderful to see them one-year after their wedding!  Our classic photo booth was busy throughout the evening and we quickly filled up the photo guest book with some wonderfully classy, yet fun photos of New Yorker’s letting loose.   Couldn’t have asked for better weather at this beautiful Manhattan venue in the heart of New York City!

Finally, a breather! Bride and groom taking a break in our classic photo booth at a recent Manhattan wedding

Amidst the numerous events and happenings at a wedding, some couples simply do not have a chance to enjoy the day together.  At a recent wedding at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, this bride and groom finally had a moment to themselves in our classic photo booth.  Surprisingly, no one else approached them, as they sat in our classic photo booth taking vintage black and white photos.  It was nice to see them finally take a breather at their beautiful wedding.  Since the reception was a black-tie affair, the couple requested vintage black and white photo booth pictures to match this classy, mid-town Manhattan venue.  So glad to see that our classic photo booth not only provided fun for the guests, but a place to recover for the bride and groom!

Recently bumped into a friend at an Arts Festival in NYC and had a chance to take a vintage black and white photo booth shot.  Despite the relatively young age of the crowd, I found that many of the guests loved the classic black and white photo booth strips.  In fact, in the past few events, both younger and older guests have specifically requested the vintage black and white photo strip for their turn in our vintage photo booth.  Love seeing guests appreciating the classic photo booth experience, including the vintage black and white photos!

Vintage Wedding with Our Classic Photo Booth

Love this guest table set-up from a recent vintage wedding at the Stone House in Stirling Ridge, New Jersey.  Check out the classic childhood polaroid shots hung on a clothesline.  Our vintage photo booth fit this wedding theme perfectly!  A number of guests commented how much they preferred our classic, enclosed photo booth versus the open-air photo booth lounge set-up.  I’ve found  that many clients are looking for a somewhat simple (and cheaper version) of a photo booth, something akin to an open photo booth with a backdrop and camera, or a set-up with curtains and PVC pipes.  When folks actually jump into our vintage photo booth, they are surprised by how fun it is to climb into an original enclosed photo booth!  After recently visiting a High School Prom and a Sweet Sixteen, I realize the next generation of social media saavy, teenagers, also love the simple experience of the traditional photo booth.  We love the vintage photo booth, we want to respect the history of this entertaining invention, and pass this experiencing on to the next generation!

Our Classic Photo Booth in New York City

Last week, we had the privilege of doing a corporate pop-up lunch event in downtown Manhattan, right next to the new Freedom Tower in New York City.  We set-up our classic photo booth inside the office cafeteria at 1 Liberty Plaza, and had the privilege of chatting with busy New Yorkers in the midst of their lunch break.  After a fair amount of encouraging, I was able to get as many of these hard-working New Yorkers into our classic photo booth for a vintage black and white photo!  Glad to see it brought smiles to people in the middle of their work week!  Big warm thank you to Food by Flik International and their commitment to locally sourced foods.  The staff was wonderful, and they got a chance to take a few classic photo booth pictures as well!
