Our VW Photo Booth in Long Island, NY
Posted 3/05/16 in: New Jersey New York
Recently received a wonderful review for our VW Photo Booth from a lovely couple from a summer wedding at Martha Clara Vineyards (www.marthaclaravineyards.com) in Riverhead, NY.
“Having Tony and the VW Van Photo Booth as part of our wedding was absolutely amazing! As VW enthusiasts ourselves this was the perfect edition to our wedding. Tony was so professional and fun and made sure to make our night and the VW Photo Booth perfect. He was super laid back and was great under pressure. We highly recommend using him for any event. It’s the perfect addition and every single guest loved the VW and thought it was just the coolest, as was Tony.”
Martha Clara Vineyards provided an ideal background and setting for a rustic, classy Long Island wedding. We were so happy to connect VW lovers and photo booth lovers!

VW Bus at a Fall Wedding in NJ
Posted 2/12/16 in: New Jersey New York
Thank you to Jessica Oh Photography (https://jessicaohphotography.squarespace.com) for capturing some amazing shots of our vintage VW Bus at a Fall Wedding in NJ. This beautiful couple loved having our classic VW Bus at their vintage-themed wedding at the Historic Glenburn Estate in Riverdale, NJ. Lawn games, picnic tables, wonderful food, and a great crowd. Our classic VW Bus added to the festive atmosphere, functioning both as a lovely prop, as well as an awesome photo booth for the wedding guests.
Wedding Photo Booth at the Ritz Carlton, New York
Posted 1/27/16 in: New Jersey New York
We recently set-up our classic wedding photo booth at the Ritz-Carlton in New York, celebrating with a lovely couple from Washington DC. Guests flew in from all over the country to take part in this beautiful, luxurious New York wedding. Our classic wedding photo booth stayed busy all evening, with guests quickly filling up the wedding scrapbook with amazing notes and art work. I was flattered to receive these kind words from a recent review after the wedding:
“Tony was great to work with, he shepherded our friends and family members through the photo booth all night and kept all participants engaged and laughing throughout. And perhaps most importantly, the guest book full of our guests’ photos that we walked away with that night has become one of our more cherished possessions. Photobooth Planet was a fantastic addition to our wedding celebration.”
Quite a number of clients have echoed similar sentiments regarding the guest book compiled at the end of the evening. Throughout the wedding reception, we try to meticulously put together a high-quality guest book of all photo strips taken for the bride and groom. At this recent New York wedding, our classic wedding photo booth stayed busy all night, filling up the guest book with so many lovely photos of the wedding guests. We are always satisfied to hear a client ultimately enjoying the finished product of our work!
Hotel VT’s IceBar and the VW PhotoBus
Posted 1/22/16 in: Martha’s Vineyard Vermont / Upstate NY VW Photobooth Bus
Making a warm appearance at Hotel VT‘s annual Ice Bar, was our VW PhotoBus “Ruby”. In the above video, you’ll see all the love that was experienced with the VW photobooth. Tons of people poured in the heated interior for selfie after selfie, and Whistle Pig Whiskey after Citizen Cider! Ruby was as hot as the flame juggler, and she got lots of shouts of, “We love you, Ruby!”
Ruby is missed in the Green Mountains, but she is making a splash now in the White Mountains with PhotoBooth Planet New Hampshire. Scarlet, the red & white PhotoBus is now making friends with the Vermonters!
Vintage Photos of New York in 1950’s Featuring a Photo Booth
Posted 12/26/15 in: New Jersey New York
Came across this cool vintage photo montage of New York City in the 1950’s by photographer Frank Larson. While digging through his aunt’s attic, where Larson stowed away his images in 1964, the photographer’s grandson found this remarkable collection of street scenes that give a candid glimpse into the history of the big city. Relatively new in the 1950’s, the photo booth had only started catching on. A half century later, the classic photo booth is still widely popular in New York City for weddings and other high end events.

Our Vintage Photo Booth at The Foundry, Long Island City, NY

Earlier this month, we joined a lovely couple and their guests with our vintage photo booth at The Foundry in Long Island City, New York for an amazing wedding. First off, the hosts decided to cater Luke’s Lobster Rolls as passed appetizers – one of my very favorite things in NYC! The evening was filled with wonderful and witty speeches, excellent food, and four amazing bands. Combining their last two names, the lovely couple titled the evening Bearonpalooza, and threw a fun-filled evening with their closest friends and family. Our vintage photo booth was busy all evening, with long-time friends gathering for countless photo booth portraits! I especially enjoyed hanging out with some of the out-of-town guests, many from the lovely state of Arizona! Guests had a ball in our vintage photo booth at The Foundry, and the entire evening was a hit!
Here’s a lovely note I received from the hosts after the event:
“You were the highlight of the night. Everyone loved your booth. And I’ve already looked through the book three different times. Well done!!”
Bella, our vintage VW Bus, at Martha Clara Vineyards
Posted 10/09/15 in: New Jersey New York
Despite a pretty severe rain storm and the looming Hurricane Joaquin, our vintage VW Bus made it out to Riverhead, New York out in Long Island where we set-up at the lovely Martha Clara Vineyards for a rustic, vintage barn wedding. Both bride and groom are avid Volkswagen (VW) lovers, and they could not think of a better way to celebrate their wedding than with Bella, our 1965 restored VW Bus converted into a photo booth. The weather could not put a damper on this lovely event, set inside a rustic barn, with Bella parked right outside. Wedding guests had a wonderful time jumping into and out our VW Bus, posing for photos, and completing a beautiful guest book throughout the evening. John, one of the uncle’s of the groom, shared stories of how he grew up with his family, taking day trips to the Catskills in a restored VW Bus. He loved talking about Volkswagen, his family, and these fond memories of day trips in their VW Bus. John ended up taking close to thirty photos with his siblings, just getting a kick out of being in a restored Volkswagen Bus. Most importantly, the bride and groom, had a wonderful evening posing with their lovely wedding guests in the back of our vintage VW Bus. So happy to be part of another memorable wedding!
Our Vintage Photo Booth at Fox Hollow in Long Island, NY
Posted 10/03/15 in: New Jersey New York
Our vintage photo booth made an appearance at a lovely wedding last weekend at the lovely Fox Hollow Venue in Woodbury, New York. The elegant Long Island wedding venue is spread across a picturesque 8-acre estate, accented with lush gardens, lively waterfalls, and fountains. It was especially memorable for me, as it turned out, I knew many of the guests attending this event. I bumped into one of my old childhood friends who was serving as a groomsmen! We took several photos in our vintage photo booth, and the line for our vintage photo booth was ten guests deep for most of the afternoon!
Here’s a lovely response I received from the groom for our vintage photo booth at Fox Hollow:
Thank you so much for all your work during the wedding…you were seriously the biggest hit! The photo album turned out great and the pictures on the usb drive are amazing quality! We will be able to have these great memories because of your hard work during our reception. Thank you!
Our Classic Photo Booth at Cipriani in New York

Last weekend, we attended an extravagant affair with our classic photo booth at Cipriani at 42nd Street in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The Italian Renaissance inspired hall with its towering marble columns, soaring ceilings, and magnificent inlaid floors was converted into a beautiful Indian-themed venue comparable to the Taj Mahal. Complete with various Bollywood type dance performances by members of the bridal party, family, and friends, the evening captured the feeling of a grand New York event with a taste of India. With guests outfitted in traditional sari’s, we had a consistent line of New Yorker’s waiting to take photos in our classic photo booth. Set-up between various Indian food vendors, our classic photo booth captured guests in one of the most unique and extravagant New York City weddings of the year.
